American Citizens League covering the Tri-Valley area of the San Francisco Bay Area, encompassing the towns of Alamo, Danville,
San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore.  We are largely a social group, but we participate in several community
service activities such as awarding scholarships, supporting the Japanese American Services of the East Bay (JASEB) Issei
Housing Project in Hayward, and support local schools and libraries, particularly when it comes to educating the public about
the forced reolcation of Japanese-Americans during World War II pursuant to Executive Order 9066.  We welcome all potential
members, regardless of race or ethnicity.

TriValley JACLは、アラモ、ダンビル、サンラーモン、ダブリン、プレザントンおよびリヴァーモアの町を包含するサンフランシスコ湾岸地帯のトリ-ヴァリー・エリアをカバーする国立日系アメリカ市民連盟である。私たちは、主に社会的なグループですが、我々はいくつかのコミュニティに参加しています。
このような、奨学金を授与しイーストベイ（JASEB）日系アメリカ人一世の再教育をサポートするなどのサービス活動、住宅ヘイワードのプロジェクト。
我々は人種またはエスニシティーにかかわらず、潜在的なメンバーをすべて歓迎しよう。

毎年の恒例で昨年七月以降葬儀でお世話になったお客様は初めてのお盆を迎える事になります。
これを新盆と言います。
よくお客様からの質問で何をすればいいの？なんて聞かれますが、本来であれば大手百貨店でもお盆のシーズンが近づくと催し物コーナーで販売している様な廻り灯籠を飾るのですが、
初めてのお盆では白い紙の提灯をお飾りするのが習わしです。
それに伴い白提灯の注文が殺到し、お届けに走り回っています。
最近では時代の流れで八月盆が当たり前になってきていますが、
鶴見区でも一部の地域では七月のお盆で執り行われます。
私自身、まだまだ若輩者ではありますが十数年この葬儀の仕事をしていると施主をお勤めになる方の低年齢化、そして何より宗教離れをとても感じております。
テレビでは宗教大国なんて言われていますが現実とは少し違うのかもしれませんね。
今、自分がこの世に生を頂いたのもずっとずっと昔のご先祖様から脈々と受け継いだ命です….。
ご先祖様を敬う気持ちを忘れてはいけませんね。
